Streamlining Physician Practices

Streamlining Physician Practices

Ministry Health Care has partnered with Ascension Physician Services and athenahealth, Inc., to implement the athenahealth practice management system within our physician practices.

The primary focus of this effort is to standardize our system practice management system and related processes to drive revenue and reduce cost within our medical group practices.

athenahealth is a best-in-class provider of cloud-based physician practice management and patient communications. This strategic partnership, which is being rolled out across all of the Ascension ministries, will usher in a single practice management platform for the Medical Groups’ physician network, improving the way we manage our physician practices in everything from appointments to billing.

athenahealth’s software and services are designed to achieve faster reimbursement from all parties, reduce error rates, increase collections, lower operating costs, improve operational workflow controls, improve coordination of care, and more efficiently manage clinical and billing information. It will also help patients take a more active role in managing their care.

This partnership will change the way we work, providing our clinicians and associates with streamlined and more efficient processes to deliver person-centered care.
