New Online Diagnosis Service Launched

New Online Diagnosis Service Launched

Gone are the days when you  had to climb into your car and drive to a medical clinic when you felt sick. Ministry Health Care has launched a new, online diagnosis service called HealtheVisits. For $35 (out of pocket), patients ages 2 to 65 can go online, answer a series of questions related to their condition and submit a medical request using their smartphone, laptop or tablet device. Within one hour, they will receive an electronic response containing their treatment plan, which may or not include a prescription for an antibiotic sent to their local pharmacy of choice.

HealtheVisits is meant to treat common conditions that can be safely and accurately diagnosed online. This is not currently covered by insurance; however you can submit the cost of the visit to your HSA or FSA for reimbursement. HealtheVisits publicly launched on December 15 to all Wisconsin residents and visitors who meet the age and health criteria.

Ministry Medical Group and Affinity Medical Group clinicians provide staffing coverage for HealtheVisits, which is available seven days a week from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Common conditions that can be safely and accurately diagnosed online include:

  • Acid Reflux or Heart Burn (GERD)
  • Allergies/Hay Fever
  • Athlete’s Foot
  • Canker or Cold Sore
  • Cold
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea (irritable bowel syndrome)
  • Diaper Rash
  • Female Bladder Infection (UTI)
  • Influenza (Flu)
  • Influenza Prevention
  • Jock Itch
  • Pink Eye (Conjunctivitis)
  • Ringworm
  • Sinus Infection
  • Tinea
  • Vaginal Yeast Infection

All you need is an internet connection and less than 10 minutes to complete an online interview process that collects information related to your condition. HealthEvisits is not tied to any insurance. The best part? Not having to leave the comfort of your home.
