Bishop Banks Blesses Fremont Tower at St. Elizabeth Hospital

Bishop Robert Banks Blesses the Fremont Tower at St. Elizabeth Hospital

Bishop Emeritus Robert Banks and a group from the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother attended the Blessing Ceremony for the Fremont Tower on September 15, 2015. The Bishop blessed the hospital buildings and all who work at St. Elizabeth Hospital. The ceremony included Rev. Karin Derenne, director of spiritual services; Monica Hilt, hospital president; and Bishop Banks.

Here is a portion of Bishop Banks’ blessing:

Each of you is the hands of Christ as you minister to the needs of those you serve. There is no greater calling than serving those who suffer. There are many demands upon you in your service. As we ask God’s Blessing for the service of this building toward our ministry, we also ask that you be blessed with all you need, for the care of others and your continued wholeness.

The Fremont Tower at St. Elizabeth Hospital opened to patients in January 2015. To learn more about the Fremont Tower, click here.
